Batman: Arkham Asylum HD video review

Batman: Arkham Asylum

My grubby little paws hoovered up a copy of the new Batman game from the shelves at Gamestation on Friday, which was the UK release date.

I completed it on Saturday, but I’ve put together an HD Youtube video review of it, for your viewing pleasure.

Check it out, remember to watch in HD!

Now that I’ve had a bit of practice, the editing, video and audio quality are vastly improved from the Shadow Complex 10 minute preview.

Have you played Arkham Asylum? Got any thoughts? Leave your say as a comment on this article.

Please rate, comment and subscribe on Youtube too.

You need to sort out the volume on this review. You cannot hear alot of the commentary because the in-game sound drowns it out.

Hey Paulie I have a question for you and see if you can help? When i get so far in the game right before i go on to face scarecrow my screen goes black and all of a sudden it looks like the game is starting again and this time the batmobile that is racing towards the Asylum is driven by the joker and batman is tied up in the back seat? then you see joker and harley leading batman on the stretcher followed by the scarecrow??? Have you seen this screen or is something wrong with my cop7y of the game? I know for a fact to play the game as the joker you have to go to ps3 d/l on the computer and download the material something i havent done, im not even hooked up to ps3.com? Can you shed any light on this at all?

@Nikita - No worries, thanks for your comment. It’s the second attempt at a video review and i’m playing, writing, recording and editing it all so I’ll improve by the seat of my pants! Been speaking to an audio engineer lately who has given me some tips, so hopefully you’ll see improvements in future videos.

@ lee - Just keep playing, it’ll be fine. I crapped myself when that happened too :)

Nice Review P! I too was put off by the xboxlive demo as the camera was a bit tricky to begin with and i skipped the opening story. But I picked it up anyways as a stop gap to ODST. Within 45mins i was hooked! The voice acting really fleshed out the story for me and the 8 to 9 hours of gameplay might be short by todays standards but it felt tangible to the story. Minimal backtracking and Batman’s progressive damage made surviving one night in the asylum a great all round experience for me.

Great site by the way :)
